Advertise in the Newsletter
Our monthly newsletter goes out to more than 6200 homes in the NWACA area. It's an excellent medium with which to reach potential customers. To place an ad, please contact Four Points News, the company which publishes our newsletter and handles all the advertising. Send email to [email protected] or call them at 512-483-1708.
The deadline to submit advertisements for a given month is about the 15th of the previous month.
Talk to the Board
At each of the meetings of the NWACA Board of Directors, there is a Citizen Communications slot at the start of the meeting where you can talk to the board. If you are a member of NWACA and are interested in addressing the Board, please let us know at least 7 days in advance by sending a message to [email protected] or via U.S. mail to P.O. Box 26654, Austin, TX 78755. Tell us at which meeting you would like to speak.
Board meetings occur the third Tuesday of each month, with the exception of July and December. Times and locations are posted in the calendar found on the web site home page.

NextDoor Web Site
Although not managed by NWACA, NextDoor is an extremely useful website for keeping up with local information as well as city wide events. Austin City Government uses NextDoor to communicate Emergency and general notifications as well. If you are interested, please go to NextDoor. Many of our residents are already members.
Until July, sap beetles are attracted to fresh tree wounds and can transmit the oak wilt fungus to a healthy oak tree during pruning. The heat of July-August is believed to suppress the beetles and reduce the risk of infection. Note that all trees are under the normal stress of summer, depending on soil moisture, and some are still in their growing season then. So if you haven’t completed pruning of oaks by now, it’s best to wait until fall.
