Highway Construction Updates

Greetings neighbors! It's 2025 and construction continues on several major transportation and mobility projects near the NWACA area. We have collected the following links and resources to help keep you informed on project status and latest announcements:

• Spicewood Springs Road (between Mesa Drive and Loop 360)
  While emails have been sent out more recently, the site was last updated October 8, 2024.

• TxDOT Loop 360 Projects
  From this site it is possible to sign up for email updates for all of the projects. Currently the most active project is the new underpass at Westlake Drive and Cedar Street.

• My Mobility 35
  This actually consists of three separate projects on I-35, all of which are currently under construction. The maps for all three projects are viewable here. There’s apparently just one email list for all three projects which you can sign up for by using the “Contact us and stay informed” link at the top right of the main page.

• • I-35 Capital Express North Project
    This project extends from SH 45 North near Round Rock to US 290 East.

• • I-35 Capital Express Central Project
    This project extends from US 290 East south to SH 71/Ben White. This is the section of I-35 across which “caps and stiches” may be constructed.

• • I-35 Capital Express South Project
    This project extends from SH 71/Ben White south to Slaughter Lane.
    

• Corridor Construction Program Update - March 2025
  These are smaller projects managed by the City of Austin. It includes projects along Burnet Road.
