An advisory from the Austin Public Works Department:
Many species of trees were damaged from the deep freeze during February's historic storm, and those that are damaged or dead pose a safety hazard.
Austin Public Works Forestry team is inspecting vegetation in the public right of way (ROW) and will begin removing high-risk trees next month. We’re asking residents to help us by reporting dead trees in the ROW to Austin 3-1-1.
Please consider sharing any of our social media posts to your platforms to help us identify these potential safety hazards.
For more information about these damaged trees, please see our recent media advisory. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
With palm regards,
