NWACA Annual Neighborhood Meeting – May 12, 2022

Please join us at our annual neighborhood meeting to learn what’s happening in NWACA and around Austin. During the first hour of the meeting, you’ll hear from :
Robert Nash, NWACA President – NWACA Events and Focus
Alison Alter, Mayor Pro Tem and District 10 Council Member – Answers to Key Questions
Chris Vetromile, AFD Wildfire Division – Wildfire Prevention and the WUI Code
Jon Plum, NWACA Member – Oak Wilt Prevention
Robert Nash – Volunteer of the Year Award, Introduction of Invited Guests
During the second hour, you’ll be able to visit with the speakers and members of NWACA committees. You’ll also be able to meet and ask questions of invited guests from these organizations:
Austin Energy – tree trimming progress, wildfire management, etc.
Austin Water – conservation, rebate programs, resiliency (minimize boil water notices), etc.
Austin Police Department – meet our new District Representative, James Hyatt
Travis County Constable, Precinct 2 – meet Sam Lindsey, the deputy who patrols our area, and perhaps also Constable Adan Ballesteros
183 North Mobility Project – meet team members and see project plans
Spicewood Springs Improvement Project – meet team members and see plans
Ardent Residential – see plans for the current Luby’s site
We are pleased to host this meeting in person. However if you are unable to come to Huffman Hall, we plan to offer the first portion, the presentations, on Zoom.
