Capital Delivery Services has provided this update on the Spicewood Springs Road Project.
Completed/Ongoing Work:
• Installed over 1,000 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron waterline. This completes waterline-A and allows the work on drainage infrastructure and the installation of the 48-inch transmission main to continue.
• Completed the removal and replacement of the 66-inch butterfly valve at the intersection of Spicewood Springs Road and Old Spicewood Springs Road.
• Excavated over 2,000 cubic yards of dirt.
• Completed 5,000 square feet of sidewalks and driveways.
Upcoming Work:
• Continue with the installation of the 48-inch transmission line.
• Continue retaining wall(s) construction.
• Begin paving phase two on the north side of Spicewood Springs Road. This work will begin at Loop 360 and move west.
As construction continues on Spicewood Springs Road (Between Mesa and Loop 360), please expect to experience:
• Road and lane closures.
• Tree trimming in areas where branches are hanging low and interfering with equipment.
• Noise, vibration and dust during construction.
Reminders:
• The construction site is for authorized personnel only. Full Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn by everyone in the construction area.
• City of Austin permitted construction hours are Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. People and trucks arrive around 6:30 a.m. to start work at 7 a.m.
