The NWACA Board is considering a project proposal from a NWACA member that would allow NWACA to hire a constable to patrol the entire neighborhood on a regular basis and to issue tickets for both moving and non-moving violations. There is evidence from neighboring associations that such a patrol helps reduce the same kind of traffic problems our neighborhood is experiencing. The proposal is to conduct a six-month trial to see if this is a good solution for NWACA. Part of the trial will be to collect robust data from the constable so that we'll be able to do a cost-benefit analysis and determine whether the program is working and thus worth continuing.
To help us identify the types of problems and where they occur, please provide us your input on your experience with dangerous traffic situations. Your input will help us shape the guidance to the constable on where to focus most effort.

Everyone in the NWACA neighborhood is encouraged to participate. Please respond by May 30, so that the Board can use your input at its June meeting.
