A landowner has submitted a site plan to the City of Austin for development of an 11-story hotel on Spicewood Springs Road. The property is in the City's ETJ (extra-territorial jurisdiction), so the City's rules about zoning do not apply. The submission is being reviewed for the matters that the City can regulate - water quality, utility access, water and wastewater use, and subdivision changes. The City's staff report is due out on December 7.
